The second night of playoffs began on Wednesday night and both teams came to battle. Blue Ballers were fighting back in the 6th inning and managed to close the gap within one run. Back on defense, Colin Hufman made great catch in left field and threw a bullet to homeplate to get the out for a double-play. Awesome play!
This weeks player of the week goes to Sheamus Kinyon for keeping his team on a hot streak, 2 wins in a row. Everyone on Blue Balls is hitting on all cylinders and have found their inner Kickball ninja, and playing awesome. Sheamus was a big force in their win with great kicks and very solid defense holding their opponent to 2 runs! Great job Blue balls!
Steve confounded the opposition all night long with his uncanny defensive abilities, making out after out and propelling his team to yet another win by a score of 9-5. Steve was not only superb in the field though, kicking several base hits and scoring runs for his team. What a game Steve, nice job!
This weeks player of the week goes and individual, who is not related to Bobby Busche, who left everything she had on the field. In a tough game Vanessa Busche helped her team stay in the contest with an amazing catch in the outfield that basically knocked her off her feet. She also got down and dirty when her speed hindered her by over running second, she went face first back to the bag while taking a shot off the head with the ball. It is this kind of selfless play for her team that earned her the great honors of player of the week! Great job Vanessa!
