Our Player Of The Week truly lives up to her team name, being both Fierce AND Fabulous. Fighting through bouts of hunger, with only a popsicle to soothe her grumbling stomach, Laura was able to dominate on the court. Some sets which helped lead to her teams' win and a few aces worth writing about in history books. Her presence on the beach lights up the court, always smiling and laughing, clearly enjoying the game and her teammates. You did great this week Laura! Keep it up you Underdog!
Shirley Leung is a rock star this week. She played a few tough games with her team, Fierce and Fabulous, in the first hour of games tonight. She was a great support for the team and was able to keep the team staying strong with her efforts to get the team points. Shirley also stayed after her team left and helped to support a team who was short a few players. She brought her energy to the court for 6 full games and deserves an applaud for getting the league started off on a good note! Thank you Shirley!
