Catch That Crap!

WHAT A GAME! There were plenty of high quality performances to chose from all Wednesday night at Lower Woodland, but the performance of the night had to come from the game of the night; one between Where My Pitches At and Catch That Crap. The teams knew each other well, had played each other in the past, had some equal skill levels and close playoff seedings (#4 and #5 respectively). The ingredients for a great game were all there and the two teams did not disappoint. Defense ruled early as we went through a few scoreless innings before Pitches rolled out a three run inning. Catch that Crap tacked on two to keep it close. It came down to the final inning- in the top half, Catch that crap took advantage of an errant throw and their base-running skills and pulled ahead to make it 5-3. The pitches had one last chance to pull off a win in the bottom of the 7th, a big kick scored a runner at second, but the while the kicker tried to stretch the double to a triple, he hesitated for just a moment, thought better of it, and made the dive back to second, only to get pegged for the final out with his hand inches from the bag. Final score 5-4 in favor of Catch that Crap. Aaron and Sergio combined their powers for the final out. A thrilling game indeed.
