Sandlot Junkyard Dogs Persevere

8 Run 6th Inning Dooms Tots

The definition of persevere according to the dictionary is the continuing in a course of action even in the face of difficulty or with little or no prospect of success. Last night the Junk Yard Dogs were down and out and things looked really bleak until the 6th inning happened. The saying goes that every dog has its day and last night was definitely that day for the Dogs. They went scoreless for 5 straight innings but somehow managed to hold serve and hold the Tots to only two runs over 5 innings. Then it happened. They seemed to have found the on switch on the bats and all hell broke loose. Before you knew it eight runs were across and the air just seemed to seep from the tires of the Tots. Not able to recover in the next top half of the 7th inning they conceded and an awesome USL comeback was complete. Great come from behind win Dogs!
