Who's Got Short Balls? came out of nowhere to win the Championship! In the first game of the night they fought tooth and nail against the number 1 seed, and with big hits and excellent blocks they sent Panda back to the bamboo forests! In the final match, they lined up against Itsy Bitsy Spikers, a team that is no stranger to championship matches. But after 3 years of playing Underdog volleyball, Short Balls was not going to be denied victory. They played exceptionally well, with line drive serves, ferocious kills, scrappy digs, and first class blocks. With their high level of play and all around team effort, Who's Got Short Balls? left no question as to who was the champion! Congrats!
With line drive serves and crazy consistency, Stephanie Morgan is clearly our Player of the Week! Whenever she was up to serve, everyone in the gym knew that a flurry of points was coming her team's way. Not only was she a threat behind the line, but her play at the net was intimidating and crucial! She was blocking and killing it just when her team needed it most!
Playing with a powerful arm that dealt out killer hits, Chad Cheney is clearly the Player of the Week! His kills shut down the opposition and had the entire gym buzzing! Chad racked up point after point for his team, and with his commanding performance led Who's Got Short Balls into the final round of playoffs! Nice work, Chad!
This week's Player of the Week goes to Nicole! Her ace of an arm was in full swing this week. Nicole served up point after point to lead her team to victory! She killed it every time, with devastating results for the competition! Nice work, Nicole, keep at it!
