Notes

First Place

Spring Co-ed Softball at Paramount Sundays

Facing off in the championship game on Sunday was the number 3 seeded R' Mateys and number 1 seeded and perennial powerhouse Twist. Behind great pitching, solid defense and consistent hitting R' Mateys rolled and never trailed from the first inning on. The saying goes, " on any give Sunday" and on Sunday that's exactly what it was. A day where R' Mateys was the underdog but none of that mattered to them. They came together as a team, played with poise and confidence and thoroughly dominated an undefeated team that has steam rolled their opponents one after the other all season long. Not only was Twist was undefeated but heavily favored to take home the title as in seasons past. This epic win was a classic example of a team ignoring the hype, coming together and simply getting it done at the plate and in the field. Congratulations R' Mateys for an impressive victory and more importantly for doing it with such class.

Sunday, April 22

Amy McKechnie

R - Mateys

After he team gave up 8 runs in the top of the 5th inning, R-Matey's started the slow climb back towards the lead. They put up two runs in the 5th and 1 in the 6th while holding the Boozers scoreless to crawl back to with in one run in the bottom of the seventh. After a quick single and double to lead off the inning, Amy laced a line drive the other way into right field to easily score both runners and take home the win.
