Notes

First Place

Spring Co-ed Flag Football at Seattle Center Thursdays

Fittingly, the most thrilling game of the season was the championship game of the Midcore Coed Thursday Night Lights League. In a back and forth game that had 10 lead changes, Peace, Love, and Harmony scored with 10 seconds left to take a 45-43 lead and seemingly put the game away. Undaunted, Matt Kim led the Lucky Dogz to midfield with one pass, setting the stage for a heart stopping finish. On the final play, the Lucky Dogz set up a play that was executed nearly perfectly, unfortunately the defensive execution was just as good and the Hail Mary pass on the games final play was knocked down with no time left, leaving Peace, Love, and Harmony as the champions. There were heroes on both sides as Paul Minello, Christa Yorke, Joey Scott, and Jason Durbin made big contributions for PLH, and Matt Kim, Jerome and the rest of the gang for Lucky Dogz were equal to the task. It was sad to see a either team lose in such a well played game. The Statdog would like to congratulate both teams on playing one of the best games he has ever seen.
