First Place

Summer Co-ed Softball at Dahl Playfield Tuesdays/Thursdays

That's What SHE Said took home the title at Dahl Playfield on Tuesday night. Being the number one seed meant that they had a target on their backs all night, but that did not phase them. In the championship game That's What SHE Said relied on great pitching and defense as well as timely hitting to win 11-2 over Pitch Slap. Pitch Slap had some momentum coming off a huge win in the semis against 509, but the pitching of Tom Jensen cooled off the hot bats helping his team take the victory. Nice work That's What SHE Said!

Ashley M - POTW

That's What SHE Said!!

On Thursday, Ashley was key to her team's success. After giving up the lead in the bottom of the 4th inning, That's What She Said was in trouble. She started out the comeback on defense with a great running catch down the left field line that drew oohs and ahhs from their opponent. She would later come up in the 6th inning with the game tied and hit a solid single to put her team up for good.

Tuesday, June 12

Anessa D. - POTW

That's What SHE Said!!

Anessa did a great job on Tuesday aligning the defense....for the other team. With the opposition down a player, Anessa volunteered to catch for them. She did a great job of moving the Charros players around so they could get outs. She also helped the team communicate on balls in play, letting them know where to throw the ball on each play. For such excellent sportsmanship, Anessa gets Player of the Week.
