Fall Gentlemens Flag Football in Ballard Thursdays

It took a clutch stop on fourth down, with less than two minutes remaining, but Goofy's Rats were able to stand tall on defense and make the stop they needed. But it wasn't just late game heroics on defense that won it for them. Chip Wade had a key interception return for a touchdown that made a huge difference for the winners.

Thursday night was Championship Night, and Chip Wade made sure his game was equal to the moment. Wade made a key interception, and returned it for a touchdown, giving Goofy's Rats all of the momentum they needed to win their first Championship.

This weeks player of the week goes to Pat Earley and his assault on the opposing QB. Pat was all over the quarterback, and most times successfully came up with a flag for a loss. With his constant pursuit he helped his defense create turn-overs and get the offense back on the field where Pat also chipped in with a TD. Pat ended the game with 4 sacks on the game, and earned this weeks honors with his defensive stats.

Mr. Offense

This weeks player of the week goes to Marco T. for his multiple contributions on offense. In a double-header for his team, Marco was responsible for a large portion of the offensive success. Marco had 3 TD's alone in his second game, and plenty of receptions between the goal lines that moved the chains. 2 and 0 on the night, and on top in the rankings. Great job Marco!
