Notes

First Place

Winter Softcore Kickball at Loyal Heights Saturdays

Turkey Snazzlers had a fabulous playoff run the last Saturday of the season. They took the first game in a rout and moved to play the top seed Where My Pitches at? It was a defensive game and both teams struggled to get some offense. However, Turkey pulled ahead with a 2 run lead and never looked back. They added a couple more and it was onto the championship match.

Schick Shadel, the second seed all season, was a fierce competitor this Saturday. In the early round of the playoffs, they took their match against Balls to the Wall. They were looking for some champagne celebrations after the championship game.

Once again, Turkey jumped out to a small lead with a couple of runs early. Shick Shadel couldn't seem to get any offense and when they did, one play would tip the scales the other way in favor of Turkey. Turkey's spirits were high as they pulled ahead with what seemed an insurmountable lead. Heading into the latter innings, Schick was knocking on the door. However, a few miscues on defense by Schick opened up the lead for Turkey. The last inning was a nail biter. Schick had a chance to tie or win the game but came up short in the end. It was such a great game to officiate. I was honored. Congratulations to all who played and extra congratulations to the Turkey Snazzlers!
