After having a rough Game 1 of the double header, W.O.R.S.T. jumped out to a 4-2 lead in the first inning of Game 2. Suds held them scoreless for the next four innings and took a 9-4 lead into the bottom of the 6. In the 6th, W.O.R.S.T. rallied for 5 runs to tie the game. In the top of the 7th Suds scored 5 more. Down 5 in the bottom of the 7th, W.O.R.S.T. started the inning with based loaded with nobody out. Then a couple for quick outs at third, left them down 4 with 2 on and 2 outs. The bats came alive. Base hit. Base hit. Base hit. Tie ball game. So with runners at 2nd and 3rd with 2 outs, Addison crushed one into the right field gap ending the game, walk off style. Congrats to W.O.R.S.T. for hanging tough and fighting until the end.
Skytap and W.O.R.S.T. battled for back and forth for 5 innings. Then in the top of the 6th Michael broke an 8-8 tie with a deep 3 run homerun. W.O.R.S.T defense held on the net 2 innings to hold on for a 12-8 win. Great game by both teams.
Rich put on an absolute powerhouse performance on Thursday. HIs first AB, he jacked a solo home run. Second time up, a three-run blast. He saved his best hit for last as he crushed a grand slam in his final trip to the plate. An incredible performance that made Rich the easy choice for Player of the Week!
