Maddie was a multi-dimensional force on the diamond showing off her defensive skills in the outfield with an amazing catch on a crazy hard twisting high liner--great pitching technique with just enough wildness to keep the kickers off-guard--and just enough offense to keep her team in the game. But her fun-loving attitude and team support stood out the most. Always nice to see someone having a good time regardless of the score. Thanks for representing the best of Underdog!
Cameron brought it on both sides of the ball in the first game of his team's double header. Pitching and covering some nice bunts for big outs on defense and then kicking with some precision to find the open spots on offense. This included what ended up being a 3-run home run, a 2-run triple and a single nearly kicking for the cycle. In the second game, Gantt Touch This got down early then battled to keep it close. In the 6th, a rally brewed and Cameron was key with a 2-run double followed by a run scored. Unfortunately, stifled by great D in the 7th, Gantt could not make it 2-0 for the evening, but they played well throughout the evening. Great job, Cameron and Gantt Touch This!
