Notes

First Place

Spring Co-ed Softball at Greenlake Saturdays

The "Quest for One" is finally over and the Thunder Buddies have been crowned new league champions. After three grueling games and battling the elements they have finally put it all together and are now proud owners of a league championship. This team has been at for the better part of six seasons and because of injuries, prior engagements and trying to get people to show up they have fallen short in the previous four attempts in a championship game. Led the mound mastery of Eugene Gray and the hot bats of the entire team, this team would not be denied their first championship. Squaring off against number one seeded Balco Bombers didn't matter to them at all. From the start they came out swinging and would not be intimidated by the perennial league power house. The war raged for 8 full innings and in the end their defense came to the rescue shutting down Balco in the bottom half of the eighth inning and helping them secure their first league title. I am very proud of this team and the way they played all day. Even in the face of going up against the leagues best team, they held together, kept their cool and in the end are now crowned champions. CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Thunder Buddies Dominate

Jessica Allen Shines Bright

The Thunder Buddies are back and much improved from the previous years. They are hungry for a title and this year may be their year. Led by Jessica Allen's superb hitting and defense behind the plate, this team could be the sleeper of the league. Starting off the season with 2 wins only puts them in a great place and with the momentum they have going into next week they should be looking good. Their bats have improved, their defense has improved and they are having fun. This may be their year. Congrats to the entire team for two great wins.
