A New Take on Soccer in Seattle
The Mariners (and occassionally the Sonics and Hawks) get the press - but Seattle is really a soccer town. Soccer has the highest participation among all adult rec team sports, and the city has a true culture of players and fans that gather at watering holes around town to catch their favorite European clubs on satellite week in and week out. While the big American pro sports get the city's attention every few years with a good team - soccer is the Seattle constant.

Despite the enthusiasm and dedication of thousands of players, Seattle's adult rec soccer leagues are often a frustrating experience. Ever had to drive to Olympia and pay extra money to get a league ID card? Ever had your entire schedule on an "all-weather" field (when "all weather" means a hard, dusty/muddy, dirt pitch you wouldn't walk your dog on)? Have you had to drive to a suburb you've never heard of for one game, then to a new far flung locale the next week? Maybe your team has taken a spot in a league that plays at 9 PM on Friday nights because it was that or nothing? Ever found yourself in league where the style of play was way too rough and competitive?

Ok, that was overkill. But if you're a soccer player in this town, you probably answered yes to at least one of those questions. Shamrock Soccer was started because adult rec soccer doesn't have to be that way. You won't need any strange league ID cards, have to fill out mortgage-like paperwork, or put up with a bad field to be in Shamrock Soccer. Our leagues are available for sign-up online, play on some of the best fields in Metro Seattle, and are filled on a first come first serve basis.

And, it's Shamrock Short Sided Soccer, a more compact format of the game that gives players more touches and more action on a smaller field, with rules that make soccer a little less physical by limiting challenges and rough play. More on the Short Sided Format

The goal of Shamrock Soccer is to give beginning and experienced players a unique alternative to traditional leagues - soccer in a laid back atmosphere that emphasizes fun over intense competition.
