Thulani LeGrier
Pre-Existing Kickditions
On a day where we witnessed an unassisted triple play turned it was difficult to decide whom should receive POW honors. While on most nights, a triple play turned certainly warrants such recognition, Thulani did something magical, probably never witnessed in Underdog history at Cascade Park. Thulani was able to boot the ball over the guard railing on the fly for a magical home run. His boot, gave true meaning, literally, to "knocking it out of the park!"

Corey "Run Corey Run" Rogers
The Alcoballics - Indy #K7
Corey proved himself to be a true 5-tool player this week- his hitting consistency, hitting power, speed, fielding, and strength were all on display. Corey routinely showed his athleticism and kickball awareness while on offense and defense, and unfortunately was the victim of excess baserunning due to some very close calls that negated a couple of runs scored. Despite these calls, Corey kept a good humor and continued to hustle on the field. For being a good sport while helping his team out, Corey gets player of the week.

Player of Week- Brian S
Pre-Existing Kickditions
Brian pitched brilliantly while adding in a couple of nice grabs on smoking line drives in the final inning to seal the victory. He also contributed on the offensive side, kicking two triples and driving in 4 runs to earn "Player of the Week"
Very rarely do you see a player from a team on the losing end become player of the week in any sport in any league, but Laura is deserved of this award! Not only was she a supreme athlete but she may have had the line of the century when it comes to sports commands... As she is running from second to third and the pitcher is making a play on her, she shouts... "You can't hit me, I'm pregnant!!!" While that elicited a laugh from everyone in attendance, the reality is, we all anticipate that her child will be a top athlete in his/her own right.

Lauren Nichols
CHAOS
Lauren started the game and pitched 5 and a third brilliant innings, before giving way to her closer to finish it out. Once in the outfield, she made 3 nice catches in the last inning to seal the victory for her team and earn Player of the Week honors!
Bottom of the 7th, bases loaded, 2 outs, your team behind. Everyone who steps out onto the kickball field has dreamed of this scenario. The ultimate chance to be the hero. That exact situation presented itself to Geoff tonight. While some players would be nervous and choke, not Geoff. He calmly strode up to the plate and kicked a big time single to right field to tie the game! While his team may not have brought home the W, Geoff made sure they did not take an L. Great kick in the clutch!

Horatiu Dumitru
The Alcoballics - Indy #K7
On a warm sunny day on the kickball field, one player shined brighter than the sun. That would be Horatiu Dumitru. Whether it was his shutdown pitching or his rocket shots at the dish, Horatiu couldn't not be contained. He was the driving force on offense and steady rock on defense that would lead his team to a well earned victory. Great job Horatiu!

Miles Oliveira
Pre-Existing Kickditions
Offense usually gets all the glory, so it takes a special defensive performance to take POW with defense alone. Miles put in that kind of performance Monday night. While manning the shortstop position, Miles didn't let anything past him. Even if it meant jumping high and impossibly twisting to grab fly balls or if it meant he had to run and full on dive to make a catch. Nothing was stopping Miles. Great hustle and moves out there!

David Ghanaie
The Alcoballics - Indy #K7
In addition to his pinpoint kicks and excellent base running, David had probably the best catch of the season. It was the bottom of the 4th, 2 runners on and already 5 runs across for the Dothraki Horde. That's when their biggest kicker stepped to the plate and hammered one deep to right center, it was back, way back slicing away from the defender...But David would not be denied. Running at full speed towards the sidewalk at the edge of the field, he leaps and makes the most amazing catch to deny the Horde any more runs and keep his team in the game.

Zack Van Zanten
Kick-It Krew
Zack V. earns this weeks player of the week for his exceptional defensive play, and his big contributions knocking in runs. Zack caught everything kicked in his direction stifling any sort of rally the opponent tried to muster. Zack helped produce runs, and had a big triple clearing the bases that were loaded. Great game Zack.
They say defense wins in the playoffs and David was the backbone of a solid defensive show put on by the Alcoballics. Anything remotely kicked to left field, David tracked down and made the out. David even dove and made an exceptional catch that saved a couple of runs. His defensive prowess shut down a few rallies and secured the victory. Great game David, we will see you in the next round!

Colleen Gallagher
The Dothraki Horde
To win a championship you need to get to through the semi-finals first. The Dothraki Horde would not have had a chance to win their title if not for Colleen. Her late inning shutdown pitching kept her team in the game. Then to top it all off she kicked in the winning run in extra innings to send the Horde to the finals. Way to go Colleen!
