Justin Lund
Bilge Rats
On a day where there were two grand slams kicked, the nod for player of week goes to Justin. Not only did he kick a grand slam, he was 4 for 4 from the dish with 8 RBI's. This was a day for the ages and I am looking to add Justin to my fantasy team with stats like that!!! In memory of our famed announcer Dave Neihaus, we called Grandma to bring out the mustard and rye bread... You know what time it is!

Kyla Hall
99 Problems, But My Kick Ain't One
Kyla may have been a kickball rookie, but she sure did not play like one. Every time she came up to the plate she found a way to get on base. By either bunt or boot, Kyla collected a hit in all her at bats. To top it all off, Kyla showed off some great hands as she locked down the defense on the right side of the diamond. Great game and victory!

Annie
Amholes
Annie was thrown into the mix quickly playing her first game with her squad. Annie got the nod to pitch and she pitched a gem rocking the strike zone and racked up a few strike-outs for her first go around. With Annie's excellent pitching only allowing 7 runs her squad won 14 to 7. Great game Annie!

Orlando Jeans
Bilge Rats
Orlando showed more heart than anyone on the field Wednesday. Proving that 50-year-olds can still get it done, Orlando hustled hard the whole game. Consistently well-placed kicks and impeccable fielding from Orlando provided a huge boost to Bilge Rats' morale, and Orlando's quick wit kept everyone in high spirits. For his excellent hustle and ability to perform at a high level at age 50, Orlando is our player of the week.

Justin Van Emmerik
Bilge Rats
Justin Van earns the honors for Player of the Week with big kicks and excellent fielding. In a game that went extra innings Justin solidified his honors with numerous catches that stifled a second rally in the game. Justin's opponent was able to send the game into extra innings by finally finding a deep ball to the gap. In the 8th though Justin had the outfield on lockdown and put the game away by securing great catches with a wet ball. Great game Justin.

John Hart
Balls Deep
Defense was key in John H's game as the score ended 7 to 5. John shined as the defensive player of the game which earns him player of the week honors. John had a sweet double play, plenty of catches topped off with a terrific bobbling catch. John's defense was key in the victory and that makes him the POTW.

Kai Ory
Looking to Score
Kai O. was the star amongst stars as his team beat big team on the block Amhole. Kai came up big with tons of solid defense putting them in place to possibly win their first game of the season. They were down 2 runs when Kai came up to the plate with 2 outs and the bases full, with one big kick to deep left Kai emptied the bases. Looking to Score took the lead into the 7th and the defense responded and kept the lead for the win. Great job Kai and the rest of the squad who played outstanding!

Tom Hammer for Hands
Balls Deep
The closest game of the night came down to the last at bat. After his team just gave up the lead in the top half of the 7th, Tom came up to the plate with a chance to get the lead and the victory. With nerves of steel, Tom kicked with all his might and booted it just far enough to for his teammate to tag up and score the winning run. Way to be clutch Tom and congrats to all on a fantastic game!!

Will Bull
Richard Kixon
Will B. is a team leader in most stats weekly for his squad, as it appears kickball comes easy for him. On this week Will earned his honors with a sweet play from 3rd base to get a very fast runner out at first. A great bunt was put down and Will came sprinting in as the gal who kicked it was very fast, Will calmly decided to just kick it to first base and with perfect accuracy was able to get the out, all while making it look very easy. Great play Will!

Orlando Jeans
O-Jeezy talks the talk, walks the walk
You could hear him from a block away walking into the playing field, you knew Orlando was feeling it today. Dressed to impress, Orlando started his talking game early trying to rattle the opposition. When his mouth wouldn't do the trick, he decided to take a different approach and launched a lead-off triple in the bottom of the 6th inning to kick-start a 6 run inning and lead his team to a come-from behind victory, 10-6. Congrats Orlando, see you in the playoffs my man!
Emily D. is the Player of the Week for her outstanding performance that opponents have no answers for. Emily bunts better then most, and has blazing speed on the base paths. If the outfield cheats in just a bit she has no problem dropping bombs over their heads while knocking in key runs. Emily did just that in a 14 to 10 victory, and with her performance along with her sister will be tough to beat in upcoming games! Great job Emily!
Richard Kixon deserves a lot of credit for this first round win. They battled through adversity in some difficult plays during the first few innings with a competitive Millennium Monsters team. The continued to battle through some tough calls by the ump. Richard Kixon came to play and remained positive to the win. Great Job this week Richard Kixon!
"Big Catch" lived up to his nickname once again as he was an unstoppable force in right field. In the semi-final game, Kevin used every inch of his long reach to secure at least 6 catches for outs. He was also involved in a key double play early in the game when Balls Deep had the bases loaded and looked primed to get some runs on the board [but they didn't]. On offense, Kevin's monster kicks sent the outfielders back, back, back to fence, ending up with 5 RBI's and 2 runs scored in the big win for Richard Kixon.
