Winter Big Turkey Bowling at Imperial Lanes Sundays 7pm

Dirty Birds get their Maul on! Vickie Maul and her teammates took it to the Nine-Pound Ballz this past Sunday at Imperial, sweeping the matchup 4-0. Vicki paced her team with two exceptional games, first rolling a 146 then following up with a 117. Only downside? No actual Dirty Bird victory dance.

Monica rolled 2 games of 114 and 120 to help a short roller-ed Bowl Job squad to victory over Dude, where's my ball? (who also had a strong performance with all but one game going over a 100 pins). When asked about her night, Monica mentioned that she refused to be distracted by the murky forms of the NBA All Star game playing on the "vintage" television overhead, or the fact that Monday was everyone's third favorite postal holiday, President's Day. While these things may have thrown a few of the less savvy rollers, Monica was focused on "just knockin down pins... 8, 9, 10 at a time." Ok, ok... Monica didn't say any of that - but she did bowl quite well.

Monica picked up a POTW a few weeks back and her team took third place overall in the league this season, but we're looking outside the lanes this week. Monica was pretty much the only person to get dressed up for Superhero Night, but what a costume it was- a full Wonder Woman outfit complete with truth lasso. In this getup she bowled, took shots, drank beers, and in a great and pleasant twist to the evening, signed an autograph for a small child who thought she was really Wonder Woman. She never broke character for a second, and bowled pretty well in the meantime. Congratulations, Monica. Keep fighting for justice and the American way.
