Summer Co-ed Softball at Greenlake Saturdays

This weeks player of the week goes to April D. for her performance on the field after taking a few seasons off. She played catcher the bulk of the innings on defense, and did a great job directing traffic when the ball was in play. April hit the ball solid and helped move the winning runs into position, and getting them accross the plate. The squad was excited to have her back in the line-up, and April helped her team win the first game of the season! Great game and welcome back April!

Brandon and his girlfriend Nicki, on a beautiful sunny Seattle Saturday, forfeited part of their afternoon to save The OneBallers from an unwanted loss b/c of missing players. Their sacrifice was much appreciated my TheOneBallers, who took them in like family. Both Brandon and Nicki's performance was also, just what the team needed, coming through in the 7th innning to tie the game!! The Underdog world needs more selfless players like the two of you! You are AWESOME!!!!

The player who earns this weeks honors as player of the week goes to Rory W. Rory left everything out on the field and helped lead his team to a win, and kept the teams season record flawless. Rory came up with 3 big home-runs, and also had a collision with the 3rd base line fence, and a split decision the winner of that tangle. Rory had the left side of the field on lockdown playing a stellar 3rd base. The 3 home-runs sealed this weeks honors as he added insurance runs to the winning final. Great game Rory!

With nice dusty breezes blowing through the infield at Greenlake to help cool off the 85 degree day it was Pitch Slap taking on The One Ballers. It was a great day at Greenlake to take a stroll, lay in the sun or have a picnic, but Pitch Slap was here for one thing and one thing only and that was to slap some pitches! Of all the Pitch Slap-ers nobody slapped more pitches harder and farther than Chris D! Chris helped his team to a decisive playoff victory of 24-6 by crushing 3 homeruns, including a Grand Slam and two 3 run homeruns! Congrats to Slap Pitch for starting Saturday off with a solid victory and to Chris D our Player Of The Week!!!
