Summer Softcore Kickball in Ravenna Mondays/Wednesdays

They say that defense wins games, and Betsy proved that on Wednesday night with her great defensive play that helped Big Cat get the W. There were no pop-flys that Betsy couldn’t catch and her quick throwing arm earned her several assisted outs.

With her team down early in their first game of the night, Meghan Manwill provided the extra boost to get her team to rally. An overly confident infield underestimated the Manwill's kicking prowess as she placed the ball at will (there's a pun in there somewhere). Her team, We Got the Runs, came out on top in their first game, and despite her early departure during Game 2 of the evening, We Got the Runs used the momentum created by her to finish out the night with a W.

Wednesday night’s championship game between Big Cat and Ballz Deep was incredibly intense as both teams played their best and forced the game into overtime. In the bottom of the 9th, Big Cat was able to capture victory and are the champions of Mondays/Wednesdays at Ravenna! Aaron was selected as player of the game after kicking a monster inside-the-park HR early in the game and keeping Big Cat’s hope of victory alive.
