They were who we thought they were!!!

Some things stay the same... And even during a long, extremely warm and hotly contested tournament, the Violent Chubbies remained their normal playfully confident selves throughout the Red Rubber Showdown. Even at times finding themselves in wrestling matches with umpires that had NOTHING to do with their previous games! Never to be outdone by anyone, the Violent Chubbies took their Mayweather/McGreggor like spectacle from Green Lake to Lower Woodlands, even to the point of interrupting their championship game opponent's pre-game press conference! In the end though, the Chubbies were very business like in how they performed in the Championship game. Finding themselves in a bases loaded, no-out jam in the top of the 1st inning, the team calmly kept the damage to a minimum by only surrendering one run in that situation. In the bottom half of their inning, pitching extraordinaire and ring leader in the devious antics Trevor LaRowe predicted and calmly belted a 3 run homer to start off his 3 - 3, 5 RBI, 3 run night that all but sealed the deal for the Violent Chubbies. The team as a whole never relented turning in key plays to record outs that normally go for base hits and coming up with key hits and RBI's. Affectionately known by his last name, Matt (Kreamer) chipped in with two well placed sacrifice flies as the team played on add-on to come away with a 9 - 4 victory. Not to be outdone by his player of the game performance, Trevor resorted to his inner Spider Man and youthful exuberance by climbing the fence behind home plate to express his excitement for clinching the Red Rubber Showdown Mid-Core Division Championship.
