Summer Co-ed Softball in Kirkland Sundays

In game 1 Chonically Challenged got behind early but managed a huge 9 run rally in the 7th. The trouble was then needed 10 to tie. Amazing rally in the heat. But the momentum stuck with them and they kept rollin gin game 2 lead by Shawn and his amazing d and timely hits.

Thanks to all the teams the fought through the heat for a fun afternoon!

Erick came to bat with his team in dire straits. What had looked promising minutes before had rapidly been spun on its head; a six-run lead for No Friend Zone had suddenly become a two-run deficit in the last inning, and after two quick outs Erick came to the plate as the tying run.

There was only one thing he could do and he did it, cranking a pitch into deep center-field and circling the bases like lightning to tie the game with one swing. The game would wind up ending 10-10, with those last 2 runs critical for forcing the tie. A clutch blast earns Erick player of the week!

Erick and Joey filled in for missing players and ended up playing four games this week! Not to mention great performances at the plate, on the mound, in the field and on the basepaths. Way to show the Underdog Spirit out there!
