Neil had his childhood dream come true. Coming up in the last inning 2 outs and bases loaded. Team down by two. 2-2 pitch and theres a drive, way back, it could be, it is... a grand slam. Walk off home run. The fans are going nuts. Neil did exactly that. To go along with his dream situation Neil went 3 for 3 on the day and played some great defense. Great job Neil!!
In the most competitive game of the day, where the scoring was as back & forth as the weather on this cloudy, no wait..sunny, I mean windy, okay now rainy day it was Scared Hitless taking on Eye Candy. This was Eye Candy's second game of a double-header & in this game their bats woke up with a vengence. But Scared Hitless was up to the challenge! This game saw 9 lead changes!!! Yes, 9! Every time Eye Candy would get a lead Scared Hitless would answer back with a lead of their own. Going into their final at bat it was Harold Keanini stepping to the plate, and with two teammates on base he crushes a deeeeep no-doubt-about-it 3 run shot that probably landed on I-405 in Bellevue! Good thing it was closed for the weekend! After putting their defense on lockdown for the final 3 outs to preserve the win it was Harold's 3 run homer & his triple earlier in the game that provided the difference in this 23-19 see-saw victory! Congrats to Scared Hitless & to Harold Keanini Player of The Week!
Jared is sitting by the phone waiting for the Mariners to call after he literally made it rain with 2 mammoth homeruns. He capped the day with a cycle and 6 RBI and got the attention of Jack Z, who is looking for someone to drive in Ichiro.
Berit was the definition of perseverance. Overcoming a rough 1st game at the plate, she made the defensive play of the day, which will surely challenge for the top spot on Web Gems tonight. In game two, she crushed a double over the outfielders and continued her defensive clinic, one that she'll take on the road this week. Videos featuring her technique are currently in production and are scheduled to debut at summer baseball camps all over America in July of this year.
In a game where every hit mattered, and every out crucial, Skip was a Boss with the bat and the leather. Skip was a veritable line drive machine at the plane, shooting frozen rope after frozen rope to right field. On the glove side of things, Skip saved no fewer than 3 runs with his stellar defense. Great job, Skip!
Chantel did it all out at the old ball park sunday afternoon. She went 5 for 5 at the plate with one walk. Played great defense at catcher making 3 tag outs at home to prevent a rally. And Chantel led the team in team spirit. Often times picking up the bat for the other team, wishing them luck before they bat. She displayed what you wish all teams and players would do ever week. Great job Chantel keep it up!!

POTW: Sandy Chen
Scared Hitless
Playing the catcher position is never a fun job, but it needs to get done. Sandy played catcher for the doubleheader and made several key plays. She had two foul catches for outs and one play at the plate for an out. Clearly she was in her groove behind the dish. Sandy didn't hold back in the hitting department either. She had several key hits in the championship game and somne key at-bats in the semi-finals ending her day going 5-7 with 3 walks. Great games Sandy and congrats on the win!!
