Late Spring Co-ed Softball on Capitol Hill Tuesdays/Thursdays

Sportin' Jorts are on a roll right no and are playing some very high level softball. This team has improved from week to week and are a matchup nightmare foe teams that over look them. Do not fall asleep on this team as they are for real, know how to play and they get after it every single time out. Great game and great win!

Pitch Please is on fire right now and any team that comes close is gonna get burned. This is a team you cannot take lightly and if you do its going to be a very long game for you.Lead by Heather and the rest of the bunch this team is forbreal. The playoffs are approaching fast and they will more than likely have a date with a lucky top seed looking for an easy victory. Not gonna happen here so beware and please bring your A game.

PBC is peaking right now and playing lights out softball. Their pitching, hitting and defense has improved tremendously and their hustle is unmatched. All league teams be aware that this team is no push over and is ready for all comers.

The Upper Deckers last night finally raised their glasses in the air and celebrated a much needed first win. Fueled by the bat of Laura Thornquist,they came from 4 down to win by one in the bottom of the 7th inning. Great game guys and gals and congratulations on your first win.

Smash City is geared up and ready for a great playoff run. They are peaking at the right time and look like they could be a huge problem for any team in the league. Their bats are hot, their defense is drum tight and their pitching is superb. On Thursday they dispatched Scared Hitler's with no problems hanging 22 on the board and sending a clear message that they are not be be overlooked. Great game everyone and we look forward to seeing you guys and gals in the playoffs.

Pitch Please is not and easy game for and league team and their dominance proves that game in and game out. This team is balanced top to bottom and not afraid to go after the biggest guy in the room. Their hustle, their bats, their defense when all put together is amazing to watch. They have big hitters, fast base runners and don't really give up a lot of runs. They are the 1 seed for a reason and as the playoffs continue we shall see why. Great game guys and gals.

Pitch Please over the past few seasons have climbed the USL ladder faster than any new young team competing in our leagues. I have seen them evolve and mature into the scary force that they are now and the product they put on the field any major league manager would be proud of. It usually takes new teams four or five seasons to acclimate but they are stacked from top to bottom and play a style of softball that is in your face and relentless. Don't ever show up against this team and not willing to do battle. They don't care about records or who a team is. All they want to do is play and win. They're the nicest bunch of players I have ever had the pleasure of umping but don't let that fool you. This team is full of assassins and If your'e short handed, it's gonna be even worse. On Thursday night powerhouse All Star Super Stars found out what I have known since I have started umping this team, they look really friendly and innocent until they step on the field. From the first pitch to the last this team gives everything they have. They play a relaxed style of ball that helps them forget the errors and the bad plays and move on to get past more experienced teams who cannot do that and wind up falling apart in the end. They are smart, savvy and know the game of momentum. Once they have the momentum, good night, drive safe and good luck. This team will rule their kingdom for some time and it's only them who stands in their way. Congratulations on winning your first ever league title and can't wait to see you guys and gals in action again soon.
