Spring Co-ed Softball at Queen Anne/North Ballard Sundays

Jeff earned the player of the week nod this week for a huge catch in Bunt Naked's second game of the afternoon. The ball went up and Jeff ran across left field for a seeming eternity before coming down in a full somersault and catching the ball, popping up in triumph and hustling off the field. Great Catch!

Tony had a monstrous, player-of-the-week worthy game on Sunday, going three for four with two homers and driving in six runs on the day. Sure his achievement gave him player of the game, but he really went above and beyond the other contenders this week with an unforgettable hitting performance!

Jeff had a great day offensively. At the plate he was 4-4 with 6 RBI and was a big reason his team was able to get the W. Jeff was also able to keep his team loose and in a good mood with his positive attitude throughout the game.

After almost 11 hours of softball, a couple performances stand out as player-of-the-week-worthy. The midcore final saw some amazing blasts, surely, but Amber had a greater game for Huevos Suaves:

It all began with a throw from the outfield, zinged in on a belated effort to throw out a runner that no one expected. Amber snagged it and slapped on a late tag. The runner may have been safe, but it was a sign of things to come.

A few innings later the circumstances repeated themselves and another play at the plate resulted in a masterful catch and tag, this time successful, put down by Amber. There were a few other moments of brilliance over the course of the game, and for that Amber is player of the week.
