Put Up 49 Runs Over Two Games
The Pounders are doing just that, pounding the crap out of the ball and scoring runs in bunches and on demand. Throughout their lineup they are stacked, female players included. They also serve a mean hot dog from that portable grill that they are known to show up with from time to time. Very delicious, just like their defense that doesn't bend or break. If you are not scoring runs against this team, it's gonna be a long day for you. They score runs and you have to also to keep up with them. Rule of thumb is, If your team is scoring 49 runs over a two game stretch, your lady players have to be hitting the ball also. Not only were the Pounder's ladies hitting the ball on Saturday, they were murdering the ball. Leading the charge was Erin who put on a free hitting clinic and because of her enormous heart and generosity she didn't charge anyone. Reminded me of a Tony Gwynn day at the office. She went 7 for 8 for the day and that's quite a feat for some male players so hats off to you Erin and I hope that earned you some snuggle credits with Hanley. Great game Pounders as always and it's always a pleasure watching you guys and gals get after it every week. Have that beautiful baby Tara and get back to us soon. We all miss that silky defense and delicious bat work.

The Un-Incredibles
Kyle was crushing it today and helped lead The Un-Incredibles to a couple of incredible wins. In their first game, Kyle was the spark plug to two big innings as he drove in 5 runs during the 1st and 4th innings, when Un-Incredibles combined for 17 runs. The biggest hit of the day came in The Un-Incredibles come from behind win in their second game. Trailing by 10 runs going into the bottom of the 7th, Un-Incredibles had rallied to within one when Kyle came up to bat with a runner on base. He smashed a ball over the center fielder and raced around to score the walk off home run.

Too Much Firepower for Pounders to Withstand
The Thunder Buddies have done it again. On Saturday they captured their second league title in as many years in grand fashion knocking off league power house Pinehurst Pounders. With delicious pitching from Eugene all day long, hot bats from Chris, Mike, Hamish, Jill, Kelly and the rest of the crew, they would not be denied. After a long nine inning semi-final game against a very tough team, their intestinal fortitude showed up when they were down and out and the situation not looking good for them. They held strong, withstood the storm, responded in kind and before you know it they were playing for a championship. In the championship game they hit another gear literally and after the dust cleared they dropped 28 runs on the Pounders and only giving up a handful themselves securing their second league title. This could be a dynasty in the making and it's gonna be fun to see them defend their new crown next season. Great game to everyone at team KOMO and everyone I didn't mention who played a huge part in capturing another league title.
