Summer Softcore Kickball in Fremont Tuesdays

In the first game of the year, Mary looked to be in mid-season form. With perfectly timed kicks, rock solid defense, and energetic spirit, Mary showed her teammates how it's done. Her fantastic all-around play led to a big-time victory on Opening Night. Great game Mary!

Jack Reid came dressed for success in his sea otter suit, and channeled his inner animal spirit to get the job done for his team today! It seemed like he made a difference on almost every "otter" play, shutting down the opponent from the mound with a complete game. What's more, he was able to rally the entire park for his team; there were kids screaming for the otter on the mound! At the plate, he was otter-matic, coming in clutch with a load of RBIs. Congratulations to the otter or the week!

Derek was all over he place in the outfield today! Sir Kicks A-Lot came out swinging for the fences, but he was able to wrangle every potential extra base kick to hold them back. He showed tremendous range and hands, once even making a catch in right center from left field! What's more, he was vital in stifling the late game comeback. This week's player of the game for Fremont goes to Derek Stanek!

The words which appear on his shirt rang true in his heart today, as Jonathan Herman led his 6th ranked team to an upset victory in the first round of the playoffs! He rallied his teammates to score run after run, sometimes becoming chaotic with so much firepower! Late in the game, Wasted Potential needed some security runs when Jonathan came up to kick with two runners on base. He booted a line drive to center left field, and tried to stretch it to a double, but there were runners on base! A cloud of dust and a few errant throws later, 3 runs were scored and Wasted Potential sealed the victory and their spot in the Semi-Finals. Great job , Jonathan!
