Once again Chico's has been crowned league champions. Their display of hitting, pitching and stellar defense proved too much for the Big Cats and their hopes of finally knocking of Chico's. Ripping off 8 runs in the first inning would guarantee most teams a comfortable victory provided that their defense can hold up to a comeback. It just wasn't meant to be for the Big Cats as Chico's responded with a 9 inning first inning of their own clearly knocking the Big Cats back on their heels and dashing any hopes of momentum going into the next few innings. After only being able to score three runs over the next five innings, Chico's took advantage and ripped off eleven runs to put some distance between themselves and the Big Cats. In the end there was just too much firepower, tight defense and stellar pitching that they could not keep up with. Congratulations once again for yet another great season and for yet another league championship.
