When his team needed a big defensive stop, Zain came through for his club in their victory Tuesday night. HIs harassing defense all night would make you think the opponent would not test him. Big mistake, as the QB tried to look him off, Zain was not fooled and snagged a huge INT preserving his team. Huge play Zain!

Most of the time we glorify the offense and their high-flying ways. However, this week's POTW award goes to Chris not for his offensive prowess, which he has plenty, but for his rock solid defense and flag pulls. Without his clutch pulls late in the game, Chappies would not have been able to stop their opponent and lock up a much-needed victory. Glory to the defense and congrats to Chris for earning this week's honors.

Playing his heart out all night, Derek suffered a serious injury at the start of the second half while he did what he did best, going all out. His energy and hustle was missed by his teammates in the second half and will be for the rest of the season. Sometimes we reward great plays. Other times it is an impressive collection of stats. The Player of the Week award this week goes to Dan for the effort and heart he showed Tuesday as he took one for the team suffering a busted up eye in the process. While his team couldn't pull off the victory, Dan was there cheering them on despite the ugly looking injury. Way to tough it out Dan!

In one of the closest #1 v #8 playoffs games you'll ever see, Lucas M earns this week's Player of the Week for catching the game-winning TD pass with 11 seconds left to give the undefeated Freeballers the victory over the massive underdogs, the Untouchables. It was a close game throughout, with the Untouchables converting on a clutch 2 point attempt with a minute left to go ahead by 1. But the Freeballers weren't fazed, putting together their best drive of the game to win the game.

If not for Pip's big time contributions on Tuesday, Freeballers may not have been able to add to their trophy case. His constant pressure on the QB bailed out his defense as he forced off balance throws. Using his quick first step and excellent pursuit angles, Pip racked up a massive six sacks. His pass rush was the key to avoiding an upset and securing the championship!
