In the night's quarter final game R- Mateys squared off against Smack My Pitch Up in what wound up being a very close and hard fought victory for Smack My Smack My Pitch Up. A hard fought 6 to 5 victory set them up for a semi final match up against the Thirsty Turtles. Scoring early and often against the Thirsty Turtles proved too much to overcome. Scoring 27 runs and holding the Thirsty Turtles to 15, they set themselves up for a championship game date with current league champion Afternoon Delight. Great defense and consistent hitting paved the way for what would become a hard fought Smack My Pitch Up victory. Lead by Steve Melius' defense and great hustle early on and throughout, Smack My Pitch Up rolls to the championship.
