Notorious DIG

Tonight was the night for Emilyn to shine and boy did she. It was almost as if she was magnetized to the ball as so many flew her direction, all of which she met with drive and determination. On top of that Emilyn showed off her guns in the front row with a multitude of attacks and a record number of kills. All of Emilyn's teammates were cheering her on and there were no questions asked as to who the player of the game was. Keep up the good work!

Gina and Friends

Eric had a huge night on both the offensive and defensive sides of the ball on Tuesday. His Go-Go-Gadget arms kept preventing BamBam from being able to get the ball across the net and on offense, he was able to get to any ball hit in his vicinity for a kill.

Liquid Courage

Wade is a very consistent hitter for his Liquid Courage team. While tonight he was making comments of low energy and needing a Red Bull, I still think he was pretty on fire. At one point he even put up a one handed block that ended up being more of an attack of the attack, sending the ball right onto the floor of his opponents court. Wade is a great go to when an attack needs to be made and did a great job of racking up the points in tonight's match.

The M's

Ben is the team captain for The M's and carries out his captainly duties amazingly. While this alone should earn him the player of the week title, his play tonight deserves a highlight as well.

After the first game of the night, Ben told me that he had just driven home from Winthrop after a 3 day cross country ski trip. He is telling me this as he rehydrates from running his butt all over the court as setter. Ben said his legs felt like jello. I can believe it, but would never have known it by his level of hard work and dedication that he continued to put forth thought the night.
