Summer Co-ed Kickball at Ballard Playfield Sundays

Lacey had a stellar performance at third base tonight. She nabbed everything that came her way. Usually, men like to kick it to the hot seat or the 'girl in the infield.' She was the exception because she took their best shot and handled it like a pro. She also had some great kicks on offense too! Great all around performance tonight!

This week's player of the week goes to Nicole Neckita of team Suck My Kick. Nicole, who played a total of 2 games on Sunday, made and an unbelievable catch in Right Field against the kicking squad "Bottom of the Fifth." The reason why the catch was so amazing was because the ball was popped up towards right center and Nicole tracked it from right center to practically it reaching the Right field line. Not too many kickballers have those kind of tracking abilities. Next time ya'll see her ask her how she does it, but don't expect a concrete answer b/c I believe what she possesses is an innate gift that she can't explain. Great work out there, Nicole!

When Susan O'Callaghan showed up to the game she had superstar written all over her. Not sure if was her being late to the game or her all business attitude that made her first stand out. However once she stepped on the field she was all about business. She went 4 for 4 and scored two key runs for FareStart Croutons that propelled them to the win. Keep up the good work Susan "Superstar" O'Callaghan.

Amanda had a great game on Sunday. She led her team with great fielding on defense. Defense wins championships and she was all over it. She was no slouch at the dish either. She was constantly on base on Sunday. She came up with the game winning run in the bottom of the 8th inning to lead her team to victory. Great Job Amanda.
