3 Holes To Stick A Championship In 3 Holes Strikes Competition From The Record File this one under "Massacre", folks. No offense to the other teams, of course; they fought valiantly and bowled like the wind. There was just one team head and shoulders above the rest: 3 Holes To Stick It In. Their closest margin of victory? 97 pins in the semis over defending champs Mines in The Gutter, who shockingly finished fourth and did not make the medal stand. They were handed their humble pie by the always solid, always dangerous No F in Strikes, who took bronze.
How did the championship game turn out? Well, we won't tell you the score. We'll just tell you that by the tenth frame, time had run out for the cinderella story Strike This, and they were taking turns bowling backwards through their legs. Works for us.
Congratulations 3 Holes To Stick It In- 2006 Winter Eastside Big Turkey Bowling Champs!

Show Me Your Champions! Big win for Show Me Your Splits In a rare two game championship match between Show Me Your Splits and Holy Split, Heather, Blaine, and the rest of the gang were able to put together quite an effort and manage to win by a relatively comfortable 59 pins. Congradulations to the winners from The Big Turkey. As for Holy Split, it was quite a ride and The Big Turkey knows that you guys will be right back in the thick of things next year.
| ![WIN[06] Big Turkey Bowling at Imperial Tuesday 7pm Champs: The Chicken Headz](/contentimages/124061557_0050.JPG)
Chicken Headz Bust Reigning Champs for Gold Nails bitten, edges of seats sat on in one for the ages BJ/ Barry, Barry/ BJ- why don't these two just get a room already? As was foreshadowed by our POTW nod a few weeks ago (1/31) we had a feeling it would come down to these two guys, these two Powerhouses of the Pine, these Barons of Balls.
It didn't come easy, though, as BJ's Chicken Headz had to first squeeze out an upset victory of #1 ranked Bowling Azzholes by five pins (606-601)!
Busterz also had their knock down drag out roll- off with the always drink-tastic Pinheads, a game which both teams admitted left them drained for their next matches.
The Azzholes were able to fend off the Pinheads and hang on to some dignity in Third Place.
In the championship game, The Headz pulled away early, then it looked like Busterz was right back in it, and back and forth it went, until BJ's crew went ahead for good.
So here's to the Chicken Heads- 2006 Winter Big Turkey Bowling Imperial Champs! See you next season to defend, guys!
| ![WIN[06] Big Turkey Bowling at Sunset Monday 7pm Champs: PinPals](/contentimages/116062027_0073.JPG)
If this was Top Gun... We wouldnt even be talking about Unusual SPare or Slammers I. But this is Underdog, and we love talking about teams ont he cusp of greatness. This past Monday, both Unusual Spare and The Slick Lane Hookers had the opportunity to take out #1, the Top Dog, the Big Kanhuna, aka the PinPals. But the Pinpals would have none of it as they continued their regular season dominance in the playoffs and secured the illustrious Top Gun, er Underdog First place Trophy.
| ![WIN[06] Big Turkey Bowling at Sunset Thursday 6:30pm Champs: Murph and the Magic Tones](/contentimages/120061622_0043.JPG)
Two Titans Clash; Radio Plays in Background Murph Polishes off The Competition for Championship Victory In championship athletics, you can only ask for one thing; a good clean game between the two best, evenly matched teams that lives up to it's hype. Oh, maybe some good officiating, too, but I digress.
The Thursday night championship game between Murph and The Magic Tones and Polish My Balls delivered on all fronts. The two best teams from the season went head to head for all the marbles, and shook the heavens with the thundering of their... balls.
In the end, it was the Murph crew victorious by slim 16 pins (516-500)! Jen from Polish My Balls did everything in her power to keep her crew in the running, putting up a 162 in her first game, and a 181 in the championship, but Murph's consistency was just too much to overcome.
KEXP Static 3 proved they were more than just a passing fancy by sealing up the third place slot with a convincing win over Dirty Little Naughties in the bronze medal match.
The champs spoke solemnly after the game, dedicating their victory to their fallen teammate Trisha "Sandee" Mills, who couldn't be there, either because of being hospitalized in a freak tragic hunting accident, or because she was visiting someone in Florida; we forget which.
At any rate, here's to you, Murph and The Magic Tones- 2006 Winter Big Turkey Bowling Champs!
