POTW: Jenny WilsonThe KeglersThis weeks player of the week goes to Jenny Wilson and her skills on the lanes with the pressure on. Jenny and her team ran into a buzz-saw Thursday night, and Jenny rose to the occasion in her last few frames. With the pressure mounting, Jenny rolled Strikes and spares in the stretch with her team making a last minute run against their opponents. As most fall under the pressure of all eyes on them, and silence (kinda) on the lane, she performed better, and set an example for her team to aspire to in the future!! Great job Jenny!  Bowling Theme Nights, you say?Tell me more...Despite timeless appeal and its own strange but internally consistent aesthetic, it is hard to look cool when you're sliding around trying to roll a heavy ball... aka Bowling. Most of us aren't very good at it and there's no shame in our lack of game (or apparent physical coordination). And, those rare Big Turkey-ers that threaten 200 consistently tend to generate some suspicion. "How did you get so good at this, anyway?" Three theme nights a league take bowling goofiness and bear hug it like a lumberjack. 12 lanes of people wearing fake mustaches, 70s threads, or giant hats is an end in itself.
