Strays take Hardcore Title in 3 Hard Fought Games Final Match of the Season is also the Best It's always nice when a season reaches it's apex during the championship match - which is exactly what happened for the inaugural Monday Hardcore League. The two top teams all season long squared off, and ended up playing great volleyball for 3 games that were decided by less than 5 points each. When it was over Indy #2 aka the Strays had pulled off a minor upset over the top seeded Dynamite Kids, who were as strong as ever. Larry Peterson and David Ta powered the Strays with both their setting and hitting... but every member of the team contributed at key moments in the match. Hats off to both teams - either one could have been the champs playing at the level they did during the final.

| What is Moly? You'd Never Guess Popularized by the comic book character, Captain Marvel, "Holy moly is a reduplicated rhyming compound (compare killer-diller, legal eagle [or beagle], and others), probably intended as a euphemistic alternative to holy Moses, used as an oath. " Who knew? It's appropriate - they pulled off consecutive 2 game victories with only 5 players on the court to take the title. Holy Moly, indeed.
