Close Call for this Season's DOTL Champs!

Lots of laughs this week as the course filled with beer chugging pirates. A perfect ending to the season, as it was the last day in the forecast of 80+ degree weather and sunshine for the week!

It was a stiff competition between our top 4 teams: Putter Pumpers, Glory Hole, BFG’s and Hairy Putter and the Supplemental Deuces, but in the end, the BFG’s took on the renowned title as DOTL Champs with a score of 168. Keep in mind, it was an extremely close between 1st and 3rd place, as the range was only 4 strokes!

As the teams gathered round, anxiously awaiting my announcement of the league champs, the coveted spirit award winners also had a showdown of their own, as two teams, Hairy Putter’s and Sometimes You Feel Like a Putt, were both tied for 3rd place with 27 tickets. Each were given 5 minutes to come up with an act to perform, where the league would then vote for the winner by applause. Sometimes You Feel Like a Putt graciously forfeited to their opponents, but not without viewing their kickline diplay of “We’ve Got Spirit” chant first.

Nicole Harding also took home our MVP award for the season, with her selflessness in returning another player’s ID and cash found on the course! Sport that green sweatshirt proud girl! There’s good karma coming your way!

Sadly, another great season has passed, but alas, onto the next! I hope to see you all again in the future!

The Right Coast

Let's hear it for Mike stealing POTW this week! When asked why he was wearing a skirt on Pirate Night he responded, "It's a kilt! If it were a skirt, I'd be wearing underwear!" It was last week’s POTW's nominees who nomintated Mike this week, because of his "crazy toe shoes." Stating, “they're not very masculine, but then again, he is wearing a skirt.” Maybe that’s why he was held captive by his pirating teammates. Hmm…

U.S. Drinking Team

The US drinking team and Sarah rocked the red white and blue this week on the course! They even brought their own boots to drink out of *see team photo*. This team brings the patriotism to DOTL every week!
